deucalion gui¶
Opens the app. Typing just deucalion does the same when you are on a desktop.
$ deucalion gui --help
usage: deucalion gui [-h]
open the app (also what plain 'deucalion' does)
options:
-h, --help show this help message and exit
Without a desktop (for example over SSH), plain deucalion prints the list of commands instead:
$ bin/deucalion
usage: deucalion [-h] [--version] COMMAND ...
Back up your Ubuntu machine to an external drive, and restore or rebuild from it.

If the app's libraries are missing: "The app can't start (…). The python3-gi, gir1.2-gtk-4.0 and
gir1.2-adw-1 packages are needed." Install them with deucalion deps --install.
The app needs Ubuntu 24.04 or newer. On older versions it says "The app needs Ubuntu 24.04 or newer (libadwaita 1.5; this computer has 1.1). Everything also works from the terminal: run 'deucalion --help' to see the commands."
Exit codes¶
0 when the app is closed; 1 if it can't start.
