deucalion ls¶
Lists what is in the backup, with the original file names (even those stored differently on exFAT).
$ deucalion ls --help
usage: deucalion ls [-h] [--target NAME] [path]
list what is in the backup (with original names)
positional arguments:
path e.g. ~/Documents or home/Documents
options:
-h, --help show this help message and exit
--target NAME which registered drive to use
Without a path, it lists the parts of the backup: your home folder, the system recipe and any extra folders, with where each came from:
$ deucalion ls
home/ from /home/alex (565 files, 156.5 MB)
extras/shared/ from /srv/shared (2 files, 293.0 KB)
system/ from /home/alex/.local/state/deucalion/system (81 files, 134.8 KB)
With a path, the contents of that folder (folders end with / and show their number of files and
size; links show where they point):
$ deucalion ls ~/Documents
Budget 2026.ods 44.9 KB
CV - Alex.pdf 177.7 KB
notes.txt 31 B
Notes.txt 39 B
report: final?.txt 33 B
Tax/ 2 files, 116.2 KB
Work/ 2 files, 93.8 KB
Συνταγές.txt 54 B
Ταξίδι στην Κρήτη 🌍.md 34 B
The path can be a path on your computer (~/Documents, /home/alex/Documents, /srv/shared) or a
path in the backup (home/Documents, system/packages, extras/shared). A path that isn't in the
backup gives "… is not in the backup." or "… is not part of the backup." (exit code 1).
